TMR vs Hall — what's the difference?

Both eliminate drift. TMR pushes precision and lifespan further.

Feature Hall Effect TMR (JS13 Pro+)
Drift resistance Excellent — contactless magnetic sensing Excellent — same principle, higher signal-to-noise
Lifespan Long — no carbon wear surfaces Longer — lower power, less heat over time
Precision Good — 12-bit typical resolution Better — finer micro-aim, lower deadzone
Power draw Low Lower — helps controller battery life
Install difficulty Solder swap — beginner-friendly with a guide Same swap procedure, no extra steps
Best for Budget repairs, casual play Competitive play, longer-term builds, pro mods

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Will this fix my drift?

Yes. Drift is almost always caused by wear on the carbon strips inside potentiometer-based sticks. TMR sticks are contactless — there are no carbon strips to wear out — so the drift can't happen the same way.

Do I need to recalibrate after install?

For most controllers, no recalibration is needed. The JS13 Pro+ outputs the same signal range as the original stick. If your controller has a calibration option in settings, running it once is a good sanity check.

What soldering skill level do I need?

If you've soldered through-hole pins before, you're set. If this is your first time, practice on a junk board first — the pads are small but standard. Our install guide above walks through each step.

What's in the box?

You can buy a 2-pack (enough for one full controller repair, since each controller has two sticks) or a 10-pack (enough for 5 full controllers, ideal for repair shops or anyone stocking up). All modules are K-Silver JS13 Pro+ (2nd Gen).

How long does the install take?

Plan for 30–45 minutes per controller if it's your first time, 15–20 minutes once you've done a couple. Most of that is opening, desoldering, and reassembly.

What's the warranty?

Replacement coverage on manufacturing defects. Damage from soldering or installation isn't covered — see the product page for full terms.

How long does shipping take?

Orders ship from our international fulfillment partner and typically arrive in 15–30 business days. We'll send you a tracking link as soon as the package ships. If your order hasn't moved in a while, customs holds are the most common cause — message us and we'll chase it.

Where do you ship?

We ship to the United States and Canada. Shipping is free on every order — no minimums, no surprise fees at checkout.
